Update on Report of Kurt Angle Negotiating a WWE Return
Over the weekend, PWInsider.com reported Kurt Angle has been negotiating with WWE regarding a potential return to the company, however on today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio on F4WOnline.com, Dave Meltzer disputed the PWInsider report.
PWInsider.com claimed Angle declined a full-time contract from WWE because he feels his body would not be able to handle a full-time touring schedule. Meltzer, however, said the claim of WWE offering Angle a full-time contract is bogus, unless the offer was a tactic to politely turn Angle down since they know his body can’t handle a full-time schedule.
Additionally, as we’ve noted in the past, Vince McMahon has long been opposed to allowing Angle to wrestle again for his company due to health concerns, and Meltzer feels the only plausible scenario is that WWE may be willing to bring Angle back for a farewell run as long as he passes all Wellness and physical tests.
